Brian Hoyer was the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns in the 2014 season. That year, he played in 14 games, starting 13 of them. Throwing for 3,326 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions, he did show that he could at least produce through the air. Hoyer also came in as a starter for the Houston Texans during week five, replacing an injured Ryan Mallett. He would finish the 2015 season playing 11 games, and starting in nine of them. He would throw for 2,606 yards, 19 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Simply put, the starting role is not a new one for Hoyer. Sure, it may be new for him as a member of the Patriots, but he does have experience leading teams under center
